Air Tightness Testing

The Part L building regulations for conservation of fuel and power were revised in April 2006 and include the requirement of all new dwellings to be tested for air leakage. Air leakage is the uncontrolled flow of air through gaps and cracks in the building fabric, causing excessive heat loss and building energy costs.

Akome Energy Build is certified by BINDT (British Institute of Non-destructive Testers) to undertake tests on new dwellings in England & Wales.
